In the summer all the kids are off, so finding something to do to keep them occupied takes some thinking, but once you know of something to do it is not so bad. Those who have little ones usually have to keep them more occupied than those parents who have older kids. To keep the young kids occupied, something that is fun, and something that is the exercise for them and outside is going to the zoo.
The zoo can be expensive, but in some states going to the zoo is free. Well until you have to buy the kids souvenirs and food. But in the end, no one can go wrong with taking the kids to the zoo for the day. Going to the zoo is a thrill for little kids, it excites them to get to see all the cool looking animals and maybe even their favorite. Seeing all the different animals just amazes them.
When at the zoo they can find all different types of species of monkeys, the birds, the reptiles, also penguins or better known as the puffins. They may also see giraffes, the lions, tigers, and polar bears! There's always an exotic animal at the zoo because there are animals there that the kids do not see on a regular basis like they would a squirrel or dog. Even though the animals keep them occupied for a little bit they soon remember that there are toys and they want them.
After buying the toys, the kids are satisfied. Not only do the kids have fun at the zoo but the parents do too. It is enjoyable because you get the exercise of walking around outside all day. At the end of the day, it is also very rewarding. By the time you have walked the whole zoo, and looked at every animal, the kids become exhausted. So on the drive home, the kids are so exhausted that they fall asleep on the car ride home.
This then leaves time for you to do what you want when you get home because more than likely the kids will still be sleeping. So if the kids ever get bored and whiny on a summer day just pack up their things and throw them in the car to go to the zoo. It is one of those things kids never get tired of, and they could keep going there forever.
